The Media Bus is a state-of-the-art media facility that offers inspired and accessible training solutions to film and media companies and professionals across the UK. Courses range from Apple and Adobe software packages including Final Cut Pro, Motion and the full Adobe Creative Suite, to post production sound design, high definition cameras including red cams and red cam workflow.

Training ranges from one-day courses to weeklong workshops and seminars. All training is delivered by highly qualified professionals to ensure that participants gain the latest technical skills they need to improve their work rate and grow their skills base.

The Media Bus has a high quality specification including 11 iMacs, 3 professional Mac Pro editing suites linked via a fibre optic cable, an Xsan server and a dedicated Final Cut Server.

The Media Bus is also available as a dry-hire unit with technical support for film and media productions. It can be utilised as an on-site production office enabling postproduction teams to process and edit footage and act as a base from which to co-ordinate a production. It can also be used to run in-house training and based activities.

 

CASE STUDY -A Soho post-production company wanted to train staff on the Xsan server without interrupting existing edits. We were able to train staff on board the bus, maximising the company’s storage investment by ensuring that their team was confident in configuring, performance tuning and troubleshooting a storage area network.
